Outstanding work by Community Engagement Response Team officers, who conducted a probation check alongside of Tennessee Department of Corrections personnel last night at the Executive Inn on Chapman Highway. That resulted in the arrest of a previously convicted felon.

UPDATE: Jeinson Hernandez-Moran, 26, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder after continued investigation into the assault that happened this morning at a home on Morrell Road and critically injured another man.

In an effort to keep the roads safe during the holiday, KPD officers conducted enhanced, high-visibility traffic enforcement over the Labor Day weekend. Thankfully, there were no fatalities in Knoxville over the weekend. Officers also made 5 DUI arrests. Full traffic report:
