And on to the next, we are so excited to welcome our faculty Keynote Speaker, Jose E Cavazos. Dr. Cavazos emphasized the role of prior works, including NIH "A Guide to Training and Mentoring", and noted their role in establishing #policy, #mentorship, and #development resources.

Hosting a #VSRP Journal Club in 2021 was the how I first got exposure to APSA, where I now sit on the #DivSum24, #PR, and #Events committees. #VSRP was a fantastic program that underscores the need for #JEDI initiatives as tools to reinforce #MSTP career development

As the '24-'25 VUMC Molecular Pathogenesis #PMI #DEI Liaison for the Grad Student's Association, I presented the accumulation of 55 years of work in #DEI in #Microbiology. There was great discussion from #PMI and #VI4 members highlighting current and future work of the #VI4 #DEI committee!
