How could we be more thrilled? We extend our warmest congratulations to our good friend Errollyn Wallen on her historic appointment as Master of the King’s Music. Errollyn composed ‘Angel Waters’ for our 2021 festival & we are immensely proud Errollyn has received this honour! 👏🏻

This spruce front, ivory back lute was made by Magno Dieffopruchar in about 1550. Music played a central role in the pertormance of love at King Henry VIII’s court and this lute is part of the ‘Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens’ exhibition currently at the National Portrait Gallery.
