Resource Africa CITES CoP19 Such a committee would be quite transformative for
, an organisation that does more to impede, than promote trade. It would also go a long way towards realising aspiration to put at the centre of in line with the IUCN Africa Protected Areas Congress

With CITES CoP19 around the corner, it's important that have a seat at the decision making table. organizations deserve a seat bcz they represent a large constituency in millions of poor hungry people living with or around protected areas.

It shouldn't be permissible to deny legitimate organizations a voice, and grant international conservation NGOs a bigger say yet their constituencies at best remain unclear. Participation must be based on legitimacy anchored on clear constituencies.

Those international NGOs that purport to work for should help in anyway they can to realize this ideal; the ideal that have voice in . It is an exercise in futility to try to save species with science alone; people must loom large in conservation work.
