#NowPlaying 1980 us. Afternoon windham hill listen. This one is good. Kind of the perfect afternoon listen. Very much on the folksy side but interesting enough in its own way. Almost English guitar folk sounding to me

#NowPlaying #Jazz 1978 us promo. Some live Woody Shaw cheap heat. What a band! All are great but really like Carter Jefferson’s sax playing on this

#NowPlaying #Jazz 1973 us repress. My 2nd favorite Bobby Hutcherson in a knit cap looking at you on the album cover (cirrus #1). Very interesting one. Todd Cochran wrote 3 of the 4 songs. All long modal pieces with a large group. Mtume (only Hutcherson song) is highlight for me

#NowPlaying #Jazz 1969 us stereo. More Bobby Hutcherson via this great McCoy Tyner album. Side 1 has the more modal African music influenced songs but whole thing is really good

#NowPlaying #Jazz 1973 us wlp. A perfect album for a dreary foggy morning. More or less a compilation of Motian in different sessions with a number of heavy hitters (Jarrett, Haden, Leroy Jenkins, and Sam Brown). Everything fits together really well tho. A top tier ecm

#NowPlaying 1981 us. Late afternoon windham hill. I’ve had this one for a bit and might just be a little too slow for me. Very pretty sounding but more background music tho very nice relaxing background music!

#nowplaying #jazz 1960 mono. Some live west coast jazz to end the night. A pretty hard charging set here. Love how summertime builds and how Gordon and Kamuca are given plenty room to solo

#NowPlaying #Jazz 1976 us. A 70s Dexter Gordon w a great backing band. I haven’t heard all his later stuff but so far this is maybe one that sounds closest to his blue note run to me. Old Folks done as just a duo with NHOP is 🤌

#NowPlaying️ 1986 us. Afternoon Windham Hill dig. Spent 40 minutes at lunch going through some boxes of dollar records at a store near office and found a Windham Hill I’ve never seen before!
