Rhea Liang There is one major thing that I’ve learnt as a fellow. Surgeons are support you through self interest or through genuine mentorship. Once the self interest weans they let you lose. The genuine surgeon are worth their weight in gold 🩷

What a depressing read. Medical students experiencing ‘non greeting behaviour’ on clinical placements. Not how we should treat our future colleagues or anyone. Say hello, make people feel welcome, learn their names. It shouldn’t need spelt out in a study.

Rhea Liang Pringl Miller MD FACS It can also be a source of suffering when, though resolving the index problem completely, leaves a new (apparently more 'trivial') suffering which the pt wasn't expecting, and which the surgeon ignores, because it's 'trivial and the primary problem is fixed.

Since we had the horrific house move in January, one of the big positives is coming down to the local club on a Friday evening for the members draw and happy hour. Bonus is the sunsets. Even tonight with the showers, it’s a wonderful view!
