This was perhaps one of my first ventures into headshots, some some ago. A simple set-up, but a classic look. Always helps to have a great 'muse' to work with!

Today, back in '22 while filming with the amazing Political Correspondent Liz Bates on a PTC.. not having a belt to hold the TX pack, I pulled off my own Navajo buckle belt and we used that.. Then off to Downing Street for a LIVE.. and a lovely headshot afterwards.

Yesterday I wasn't on shift to film at the conclusion of the Grenfell Enquiry. Over 7 years ago 72 people lost their life in the biggest single structure fire I have witnessed. Over the yrs I have covered this story, from after the event to recently. This was the 1st Yr after.

Great piece from the past.. Splendid camera opping' for a Blue Peter piece and choreographed movement. No motor zooms or auto focus (shame on those ops using that on TV today).. but some nice shot selection and moves, if some a but rushed.

If sent, new lighting rig going to Downing Street tomorrow.. 4 x 4' inflatable Lightbank lights with a shoot through reflector.. Will make a delicious wrap-around soft source light as a key. Think a 2m booklight on ..air! (when a DoP with too much time on his hands shoots news)
