Thanks to Sony Pictures Classics for bringing Lil Rel Howery Blake Cameron James Minhal Baig and #GianKnightRamirez to Chicago for a Q&A showing of #WeGrownNow ; a well made & researched film that captures what life was like (good & bad!) for those that lived in Cabrini–Green in Chicago in the 1990's.

It's heartbreaking to learn of Participant's shuttering. They believed in and fought for genuine artistry in a business so centered on market considerations. I'm incredibly grateful we had the opportunity to work together on We Grown Now.
