Nicola Sturgeon may think she can dismiss women like J.K. Rowling For Women Scotland as not “real” feminists but she can’t ignore the voices of young women like Nina Welsch who say no to self ID. My The Scotsman column scotsman.com/news/opinion/c…

Ged Killen Susan Dalgety J.K. Rowling Nina Welsch The Scotsman Just because we submitted to them does not mean we were not ignored. None of the very serious issues we have raised throughout this process have been addressed. A consultation means nothing if you do not pay any heed to the findings.

Ged Killen Susan Dalgety J.K. Rowling Nina Welsch The Scotsman In fact, the committee started the hearings and invited witnesses BEFORE the consultation had even closed.

There was no way they were cognizant with the findings. They invited non-experts who agreed with the bill & had to be shamed into inviting some expert witnesses.

Yet the committee rested its report largely, it appears, on what was said in the single two hour session allowed to a few of us on that list./

Ged Killen For Women Scotland Susan Dalgety J.K. Rowling Nina Welsch The Scotsman You do realise that it's not actually possible to prove a law that hasn't been changed yet has been misused? The whole point of this argument is that GRCs at the moment are subject to gatekeeping that's going to be removed.
