💧Kratie🇰🇭 was the next destination for the training on macro & microplastic sampling after Chiang Khan🇹🇭 and Pakse 🇱🇦. The training targeted technical staff of the Department of Hydrology & River Works🇰🇭 to test draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the tow net method.

30 high school students from 🇰🇭🇱🇦 🇻🇳 visited the MRC Secretariat as part of the Refaire le Monde en Français to explore environmental issues that the Mekong River is currently facing & how high school students like themselves can actively contribute to addressing the challenges.

The National training on macro and microplastic sampling was held in Pakse 🇱🇦 for participants to perform riverine plastic monitoring activities & get JC's approval to integrate riverine plastic monitoring into the Core River Monitoring Network - Water Quality Management Network.

Our regional experts met in Siem Reap 🇰🇭 to discuss irrigation technology including:
-Approval of the final draft of the MRC Guidance on Irrigation Asset Management and Intermittent Irrigation.
-Presentation of #JIRCAS on SATREPS Project on Intermittent Irrigation in Cambodia.

A National Training on macro and microplastic sampling was held from 15 to 17 May in Chiang Khan, Loei province 🇹🇭. It is expected that the JC agreement to integrate riverine plastic monitoring into the Core River Monitoring Network - Water Quality Management Network.

Our second day at the #WorldWaterForum10 were filled with meetings, both at our booth and at our partners' booths.

Today, we will participate in various panels at the Forum, where we will have the chance to share our experiences with colleagues from around the world.

We did have a great start yesterday at the #WorldWaterForum10 in Bali, Indonesia, with engaging meetings and catch-ups with colleagues and friends. Our discussions are about the current work and potential cooperation in the future.

On behalf of the MRC, CEO Anoulak Kittikhoun signed a MoU with the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea & K-Water at the 10th World Water Forum. The MoU aims to to strengthen collaboration and advance joint initiatives in the Mekong region.

Our 3-day workshop was a huge success! Modelers and National Consultants explored the Upgraded #DecisionSupportFramework for water resource analysis. Through training, discussions, and #KnowledgeSharing , we refined our approach and perfected the National Pilot.

The MRC Council and the Joint Committee members visited the MRC booth to promote the Mekong spirit during their participation in the World Water Forum.
