Q5 The worst days in my career have involved tragedies. Deaths, car accidents, hospitalizations, they're awful, and they're so much for you and your class to process. Can you please talk about how you’ve dealt with a tragedy from the classroom? #2PencilChat

A3 No one sees eye to eye with every colleague. I do my best to be pleasant, keep it professional, and keep negative connections to a minimum. When there's something that I feel at odds with, I do what I'm supposed to do, and focus on the important stuff. #2PencilChat

A4 When I had my own kids, I prepped them, and it was easy to prep if I needed to go home or to the doctor at short notice. It hasn't happened this year, so I don't know how it'll work if I'm not well as a specials teacher.

Q4 Sometimes everything is going right, except for the fact that you’re sick, or another health issue is knocking you out of commission while you’re at school. How bad does it have to be for you to go to the office and ask for a sub? #2PencilChat

A1 Yesterday (hence tonight's topic) was that. There was feeling like I wanted to cry, but not wanting to in the parking lot. Sat in the Target lot before shopping and scrolling TikTok. Then home for dinner & Game of Thrones before retooling my lessons for the week. #2PencilChat
