Glad to see the interest last week in my post about my course, “How to Write #historyfrombelow .” If you have interest in teaching such a course, feel free to draw on my expanded syllabus. Would love to hear suggestions for other readings.

In 1994 we established at U of Pittsburgh the E.P. Thompson Memorial Lecture. Christopher Hill gave the first lecture, then came Natalie Zemon Davis, Eric Hobsbawm, Robin Kelley, and others. This year, it’s Barbara Weinstein. Join us in person or remotely!

Teaching tip, #historyfrombelow : I’ve had success combining Natalie Zemon Davis *The Return of Martin Guerre* (1982) with the award-winning film of the same name (1982; Davis consulted). Literary/film representations of the life of peasants in 16c France.

Happy to say that a new Spanish language edition of *The Many Headed Hydra* (which I wrote with Peter Linebaugh) has been published by #TraficantesEd . This edition is available as a physical book and is also freely available as a pdf through Open Access.
