Loneliness at the end of life has a major impact on the well-being of patients and carers. Northern Ireland needs a Loneliness Strategy.

We joined Asthma + Lung UK Northern Ireland launch of 'Saving Your Breath' report today.

Marie Curie provides care for those with respiratory conditions at the end of life. We know the importance of appropriate care provides for people with conditions like COPD and IPF.

Tomorrow thousand of people will be running the London marathon, including Roisin, who shared her reasons for running, in memory of family members who were cared for by Marie Curie💛

Today we welcomed Department of Health Minister Robin Swann to Marie Curie Belfast Hospice. PfG, Palliative Strategy and unscheduled care all part of our discussion. The Minister received a tour of the Hospice, meeting patients and staff.

Exciting news that Marie Donnelly will become the first Marie Curie Advanced Nurse Practitioner Western Trust caring for terminally ill people in hospital and in the community, supported by Community Foundation for Northern Ireland through the #CancerCharitiesSupportFund .

Today we welcomed a delegation from Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Health including Chairperson Liz Kimmins Deputy Chairperson Danny Donnelly MLA and members Colin McGrath 🇺🇦 and Órlaithí Flynn.
