Today, I went to visit a 💸 distribution site where 3500 refugees are receiving their entitlement. Thanks to the Sudanese Red Crescent, #UNHCR, #ECHO, and all the other partners for their collaboration and support. #together #wedeliver #sdg2

Over half of the people living in Sudan don’t have access to food. 25 million people are acutely hungry and World Food Programme is scaling up support. Immediate global action is needed to prevent an all-out catastrophe.

🆘 Our worst fears in #Sudan have come true. Famine is found to be taking hold in Zamzam camp - home to more than 220,000 displaced people – in North Darfur. Across Sudan, nearly 26 million people are struggling to put enough food on their plates every single day.

🚨 This #WarehouseWednesday takes us to Port Sudan, inside one of the busiest warehouses in Sudan 🇸🇩. The ongoing conflict has resulted in the world’s largest hunger crisis. This year, World Food Programme supported 4.4 million people from affected communities and is planning to expand.

Despite raging conflict, some growers in #Sudan have boosted their wheat production by up to 70% this year. The results offer a powerful lesson in how Sudan's food security and its people could rebound, with the right support, if peace returned. ow.ly/ki9v50SXGGe

Community kitchens are a lifeline in #Sudan, playing a crucial role in feeding families and keeping hope alive. WFP is partnering with local organizations to support over 100 kitchens in Khartoum, sharing up to 140,000 daily hot meals.
