Just realized that this ran in the 'Midland Times,' which says its published by 'PIPELINE Advisors LLC, a Texas company that is investing to rebuild community news across the country.' PIPELINE Advisors got $57K in advertising from Tim Dunn's Defend Texas Liberty PAC in 2022.

This is exactly how DPS is armed under Operation Lone Star, Governor Abbott's troubled border program.

They most often detain or push back asylum-seekers, including small children, who are trying to turn themselves in to border patrol.

On May 12, 2023, Border Patrol briefly restarted using humanitarian parole as a mechanism to release migrants as a means of avoiding overcrowding.

Of the 2,572 people released that day, 2,545 have since checked in with ICE as required. That’s 99% in total. They didn’t disappear.

For the third straight month, #Mexico 's government reports having apprehended almost exactly 120,000 migrants. So, 360,000 in January-March.

Before this year, Mexico's single-month record was 97,969 apprehensions. Every month this year has been 22% more than that.
