What a great turnout for the first Mendez PTO meeting of the year! Loved seeing new faces and catching up with returning parents! Congratulations to our new PTO officers Mendez Elementary!

One of the things I love the most about Stephanie Jones is that she is an instructional leader. She stepped in a modeled a new instructional block today. She is committed and continuing to enhance the instruction here at Mendez.

Science Vertical Alignment today was 🔥! We shared the the importance of vocabulary, Mr. Merchant modeled foldable, & we aligned our interactive notebooks! We can’t wait to see how our science instruction continues to grow!

You know that a teacher is making a difference when you walk in and see a student after school using your white board to be like Ms. Wood (she/her/hers). It has CHAMPs and WICOR and everything, Sandra lopez when can I hire her?

Our first and second graders had such a great time at the Sage Spring Senior Living carnival this morning. We are so thankful for our wonderful neighbors and all they do for our kids 🩷

It’s the eve of our 1st Striker Innovation Hour of the year. Every year I put every single kid in their club. I know this is a task I could give to someone else but there is something special about getting to know each striker’s interests. All the smiles coming our way tomorrow!
