The average number of days per station ≥95° at 828 United States GHCN or NWS Threaded sites ranked 66th highest last year. Out of the top 10 hottest by this measure, eight occurred prior to 1960 and only one has been in the last 40-years. 2022 probably won't crack the top 20.

The Wizard Nebula (NGC 7380) captured last week.

Located in the constellation Cephus, and approximately 7500 light years from Earth.

EdgeHD8, 533MM pro, S2/Ha/03, 13hrs total integration time. Hope you enjoy!

has evidence that covers a range of scales that no theory ever has before. predicts the Planck mass (scale: 10^-35 metres), capacitor tests (10-6m), flybys (10^4m), wide binary orbits (10^15m), galaxy rotations (10^20m) & the cosmic acceleration (10^26m).

The ERAI data for winds within the Planetary Boundary Layer are superimposed over a surface of the earth for a given year. I'm generating such plots and related climate variables for all years available from this resource.

There is this odd belief system that if you question scientific research, people say you're claiming to know more than experts. It's a logical fallacy, an appeal to authority. If said science is sound, it can withstand criticism. Science that can't be questioned is propaganda.

New study:

Radiative models estimating the temperature effects of increasing CO2 to 420 ppm indicate only half (0.64°C) of the alleged 1.2°C warming since the 1800s could be explained by CO2 increases.

'The cause of global warming is still under debate.'

Fun fact, there has been 3 triple La Niña events since records began for this event in 1950.

1973-76 triple La Niña
1975 Europe heatwave

1998-2001 triple La Niña
1998 Europe heatwave

2020-2022 triple La Niña
2022 Europe heatwave

Isn't this just bonkers?

A massive gamma-ray burst went off in space recently and it was so strong, that it ionised the upper parts of Earth's atmosphere, changing how radio waves propagate through it. Detectors in India, Germany and UK observed this change 👇

The beautiful PacMan Nebula, NGC281 - a bright emission nebula in Cassiopeia. It is ~48 light years in diameter, ~9.5K light years from Earth. Some amazing structures in there.

Captured from my yard this week, 18.5hrs total, S2/Ha/O3. Hope you enjoy!!
