Watching a news item on controlling behaviour. I grew up in a household where this was daily. My mum died still being controlled, when he wouldn't give her pain medication despite being in screaming pain. Evil.

To anyone going to Paris for the Paralympics I'm hoping the public transport is good. I was working to advise on this but sadly Brexit put pay to that. I wish I could go to experience what has been achieved. Too busy making the UK more accessible & inclusive 👍

Just got on the Thameslink from St Pancras to Blackfriars. Totally level boarding on a train. No assistance needed. Just on & off. How it should be by now. Somewhere I have a Thames News item I shot on level access in the 90s. Shouldn't be rare in 2024.

It's bonkers. Door to door, Camden to the National Theatre using my Batec Mobility & Thameslink ? 40 minutes. If London opened up it's public transport system to everyone the city would shrink. I would usually drive, facing a much longer journey & the horror of parking.

Groan. The battling adversity trope rolls out as the Paralympics get going. All for being the best at your sport but please can we quit with the inspo stuff. Inspire people to do your sport but let's stop the proving you can do anything when you are disabled bit.

I forgot that C4 put adverts during the opening ceremony. Because a continuous planned international art, dance & sports event works perfectly with ad breaks?🤪 Having been part of 2012 I can only imagine what we're missing. Luckily not one of my bits this time 🤣

I honestly give up. I get it's a small thing, a typically English thing, but please I am NOT a person with a disability, I am a DISABLED PERSON. If we want to change the future, using the concepts of the Social Model, words matter. High horse jumped off now 🤣

Bloody leg today. Before my surgery my pain was below my calf, now it's from my thigh. So not exactly the improvement I was hoping for. Today I feel like my whole leg is in a vice while razorblades are run over my feet. Whoopee.

Had to go lay down. Pain is so bad it's making breathing difficult. So much for the surgery. One day I'll have a surgery that does what was promised. Not yet but one day 🤣

Doh. Just taken delivery of a cool pair of Converse. But oh no. I had no idea that there is a size 10 for kids. Double doh. They look fantastic & cute but I doubt they'd fit my adult size 10 feet 🤣🤣🤣

I am at an event at Rich Mix & it's a joy. It's the most accessible inclusive event I've ever been to. So welcoming, so inclusive. This is how it should be done. Andrew Miller great to see the LGBTQ community leading the way.
