We’re going to state! Today we had 6 athletes qualify in 7 events for next week’s State Finals. We had a lot of PRs and some really close calls today, but I’m so proud of the whole squad for this season. G & Q, can’t wait to see you finish out the season at the pits next week 🙌🏼

This week, I’m slowlyyy starting to set up my classroom, Canvas pages, daily agendas, first-week plans, etc. It probably helps that this is year 10🤯, but this is the readiest & least stressed I’ve ever felt ✌🏼 (Even though after 9 years I still continue changing everything😂)

A student walked over to my classroom library today and I overheard them say to a friend: “Wow! There are so many good books over here!” Let me tell you the joy that brought me 🫶🏻

Does anyone know of a platform comparable to Mentimeter? I’ve used it with 2 ELA classes for a “question of the day” for years. They charge over $140 to do this now, which I won’t be paying out of pocket for, so I’m seeking alternatives! I want to keep this fun tradition! 🤞🏼

2 (of many wins) this week: After a 2-day absence, instead of asking if they missed anything (IYKYK), a student got their absent paper, checked the agenda & asked what to prioritize first 🥹 Had lunch with former students & one said, “I’ve been looking forward to this all day!”
