Two legislators this session who surprised me in a good way: - Sen. Joshua Bryant - Sen. Bryan King I had certain expectations going in, and was way off. Ideological differences? Absolutely. But they were honest brokers and had ideological consistency. I can appreciate that.

Let’s talk about emergency clauses. 2023 Numbers - 1/3 of the bills passed had emer clause - 84% of those were budget, public retirement, technical corrections, or state board related - 16% of bills w clauses were more substantive / impactful (around 5% of total bills passed)
