On 07 June, the side event entitled “GEF ISLANDS Launch” was led by UN Environment Programme and Global Environment Facility (GEF) at the BRS COPs. The event aimed to gather experts from the
public & private sector to lead discussions on introducing sustainable solutions to
reduce chemicals and waste pollution in SIDS.

Thank you Global Environment Facility (GEF) for having me at #BRSCOPs event on pollution & #mercury free planet. I`m looking forward to the GEF-8 innovative dual approach of focal areas & integrated programs supporting #MinamataConvention .
