Starting this week by sharing what we do Mencap #VoicesCouncil , alongside Sam Jefferies and mandy mcqueenie, with GlosVCSAlliance, ahead of #TrusteesWeek .

Think g about diversity on boards and the accessibility needs to be fully inclusive.

What’s remarkable about this (admittedly very short) leadership race is that despite the fact the situation for the country is so grave, nearly all of it is seen and articulated through prism of the future Conservative Party itself. Almost no discussion of wider policy at all.

Amid the political noise right now, there will be grave consequences later on when #StateOfCare has been overshadowed and people who need a functioning care system are failed by an AWOL government.

Mencap Trustees and Executive Team held their Strategy Day, in Belfast at Mencap in Northern Ireland . Dame Carolyn Fairbairn, Chair and the Trustees (lnkd.in/eGhd4jST ) Edel Harris, CEO, made it their business to visit, meet the people we support.

Some good food for thought from the conversations these past few days and planning the work ahead for Mencap #VoicesCouncil .

The council was delighted to host members of the UK Board of Trustees of Mencap. This charity has a base in the council area and together we can work to ensure our services, facilities & communities are fully inclusive & help to improve the health & mental wellbeing of all ages.

Always nice to make new friends (especially the puppet kind).
