Thank you so much to Athena Stavrou from me and We Are Survivors. for writing a really respectful, compassionate and genuinely interested interview in the The Independent. The article is brilliant independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n… - it's journalists like you that are part of the solution!
It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2024 and since @Netflix released #BabyReindeer , we've seen a increase in male survivors starting their healing journey with us. 53% of men stated #babyreindeer was the key to reaching out and asking for help from #wearesurvivors in the 1st two weeks

Every day I get to be the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of We Are Survivors. and as part of my role, every single day I engage in discussion that moves the issue forward just a teeny bit. Everyday as a survivor I see how male survivors can be minimised. #NotTodayThankyou
One of my colleagues in our comms team asked if anyone can sign and I said 'well i sort of can' and so I was asked to do a video for #DeafAwarenessWeek . It's really reignited the idea to do level 2 (i think i'd have to do level 1 again though for confidence). I loved making this.
As its #DeafAwarenessWeek I wanted to be able to say something, using the #SignLanguage that I learned many years ago. I keep putting on my list of things to do to pick it back up and do my level 2 and 3... I will do this a some point this year / next year as i really enjoyed it.
