This tweet was over a year ago. It has been possible to debate these issue with compassion if discussion was really what you were interested in.

It is absolutely incredible, and extremely worrying, that some otherwise intelligent people seem unable to see through this stuff or recognise the impact of the language that is (deliberately) being used.

Transphobes are doing a bizarre victory lap over a review of gender-affirming care in the UK.

The only thing it found is what we already knew:
- Tiny number of kids transition
- Comprehensive assessments before receiving medications
- Vanishingly few detransition

The question 'are large numbers of kids receiving irreversible medical treatments without assessment?' has been asked and answered dozens of times.

Anyone who insists on continuing this 'debate' is either misinformed or acting in bad faith.

If this were the Tories then Labour would be calling it 'cash for access' and asking questions about corruption - and they'd be entirely correct to do so.

Exclusion from school does not improve behaviour but the law allows for it as a last resort.
My approach as HT was that young people remain in school unless unsafe to do so, and presumption they'd return next day.
