Scrapping one word Ofsted judgements was always a red herring.

If you take the word 'inadequate' off an Ofsted report it doesn't take away from the underlying issues or change the enforcement actions around it.

I don't see what removing the word 'inadequate' would do.

It's such a shame that we have a postcode lottery in quality RE.

It's not just the syllabus that varies, it's how often it's updated and what support is available too.

A National Curriculum is needed to ensure a future for our subject.

Blocked time out today for revisiting lots of the stuff I’ve read over the last few months.

Struck once again by two things.

1) That this is my job!
2) That we as a history community are so lucky to have such a wealth of shared resources and expertise 👏🏻

Adam Smith I totally agree. RE is largely unaffected by the NC14 and is stuck in a time warp. LA syllabuses have insulated it from significant reform. This needs to be scrapped and a common curriculum written IMO.
