📅#OTD 1649. Walter Strickland writes home to the English Commonwealth. He begrudgingly warns that the royalist Marquis of Montrose has a ship laden with arms for a rising in Scotland. Deeming the Scots 'soe excessively my ennimyes' he considers it a high charity to warn them.
