Today is #dayofremembrance . The signing of #executiveorder9066 . This past weekend I was flown out to Fredericksburg, TX to screen my film First To Go and do an Q&A after. I get emotional every time showing the film, but I grateful for the impact it makes on those who watch it.

JANM will be closed on Thursday, August 10 in observance of the anniversary of the Civil Liberties Act of 1988. JANM honors this anniversary to acknowledge the incarceration of 120,000 Japanese Americans in US concentration camps without due process or evidence of wrongdoing.
