Sometimes the universe smiles back! 😄

In the center of this image, taken with Hubble, is the galaxy cluster SDSS J1038+4849 — and it seems to be smiling. Why? Because of gravitational lensing! Learn more about it here: universe.nasa.gov/news/290/how-g…

Two space telescopes walk into a bar…

Barred galaxy NGC 5068, that is! The bright white bar in both images is a dense region of mature stars. Hubble's view is in ultraviolet, visible & near-infrared light, while Webb focuses on near & mid-infrared light: esawebb.org/images/potm230…

100 years ago, Edwin Hubble found the first definitive proof that we live in a universe beyond our Milky Way when he saw the Andromeda Galaxy. His namesake telescope has since expanded our view! go.nasa.gov/3ZHDfnY

Happy birthday to Robert Goddard, pioneer of modern rocketry and namesake of our center! He built and tested the first liquid-fueled rockets.

Celebrate with a look at what Hubble saw on your birthday: science.nasa.gov/mission/hubble…
