During a 6-month stay aboard the International Space Station, astronauts are exposed to the same amount of radiation as ~1000 chest x-rays. NASA research into a way to assess the damage from this radiation forms the basis of a new diagnostic for cancer treatment. go.nasa.gov/3eZfFAp
The spacesuit worn by NASA Astronauts during spacewalks is designed to protect them from the various hazards they face when working in the void of space. Do you know how many layers of materials are in that suit to do that job?
For our NASA Artemis missions, lighting conditions at the Lunar South Pole will be challenging as the sun is constantly at a low angle on the horizon. Here sarah shull and I are conducting a simulated lunar spacewalk as part of a joint @NASA JAXA(宇宙航空研究開発機構) #DRATS mission.
Wonder what it’s like to live and work on the Moon? 🌕
