Very nice final meeting with UEA School of Environmental Sciences student. Research with Felbeck Trust & NENBC Insights into how people who deeply engage with nature feel about climate change, habitat and species loss & its affect on their mental health Norfolk Wildlife Trust RSPB

Pair of Bullfinches seen in the garden today, often hear them as they move along the garden hedge but despite the brightly coloured male they are rarely seen.

Took part in the NENBC Big Sit at Felbrigg Park on Saturday, a dawn till dusk bird watch which would have been fine if not for the fog! Still it did clear and 50 species seen. Walking through the woods at 4:45am was pleased to see several bats patrolling along the footpath.

Slo-mo'd the vid of the juvenile Peregrine chasing the adult at Cromer church. You get an even better idea of the difference in flight. He's really doing well to even get near him! Cromer Peregrine Project RSPB NENBC

Also, lovely to watch the juvenile Peregrine on the church at Cromer having a really thorough preen. And with musical accompaniment too! Looking quite the young adult now! Cromer Peregrine Project RSPB @nenbc

Lovely views of the juvenile peregrine at Cromer Church following the adult male. Notice how he's struggling to keep up - but brilliant practice for him! Cromer Peregrine Project RSPB @nenbc_info

The juvenile peregrine at Cromer church yesterday taking his first recorded decent flight (as far as I am aware). He flew round the museum twice in order to gain height to land on the tower roof - he's on a low ledge here - which he did successfully! Cromer Peregrine Project NENBC

Ringing of the Cromer Peregrine chicks today. Difference in weight indicates 1 x male, 1 x female (hatched within 24 hrs of each other but one weighs 240g MORE). I watched the adult female swoop down and catch a stationary pigeon from the low roof! Never seen that here before!

Cromer church today: the adult Peregrines have (almost) mastered the art of taking squabs. Missed here but one was taken in an hour later. That's one helluva gutsy pigeon! The Peregrines have managed to catch a Swift as well this year! Cromer Peregrine Project NENBC RSPB

What a lovely walk along Sheringham beach towards Weybourne this afternoon. Fab views, so close, of two Sanderling. They actually kept still sometimes😀@nenbc RSPB Norfolk Wildlife Trust
