NIRA DG Abdiweli Timacade met with Commissioner Mohamud Moallim of SODMA Somalia to discuss identifying vulnerable communities, emphasizing the need to waive registration fees to enhance access to aid and streamline humanitarian and emergency programs in the country.

In a meeting between SoDMA Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim and Abdiweli Timacade of NIRA Somalia, both sides stressed the need for waiving IDP registration fees to curb aid diversion and ensure effective delivery of assistance to the displaced.

DG Abdiweli Timacade today received in his office the Head of NIS Foundation Kassim Gabowduale to strengthen collaboration on accelerating Somalia’s national ID system. During the meeting, key plans to improve ID services and address challenges for unregistered citizens were discussed.

A lot of good ground work was done by the authority with the launch of the national ID for all citizens.
