An area of locally enhanced winds is currently over the S Clarence Strait area. Looking at satellite, the marine layer clouds (in white) are cyclonic, indicating enhanced vorticity and increased wind speed. Expect this to be short-lived and dissipate through the day.

Tropical Storm is delivering heavy rainfall to the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The NHC forecasts widespread amounts of 5 to 10 inches, with some totals near 15 inches into Thursday. Rain from the lopsided system, as seen on satellite, is even reaching Puerto Rico.
