There are some people who feel very entitled to use this word and refuse to understand the implications of using it. What’s the point of having EDI initiatives in the workforce when there are people out there with unchangeable attitudes like this and an unchanging environment?

And that the N word is equivalent to calling someone a “cunt”, so why do they have to censor themselves?

I was the inclusion champion in this place and yet I didn’t feel comfortable talking to this staff member, with very good reason it turns out.

I have a story.

In my first AP post, there was a senior MDT member who had used the word whilst quoting a patient. I asked a senior staff member to talk to them (which they did) but they retaliated, saying that they had a right to quote the word (cont)
