What's fascinating is how Donald Trump has so intentionally used the media to amplify his attacks against opponents. He creates narratives, which are often so outlandish, they stick, distract, lower- you name it.

We're so used to chaotic and wild interviews with Trump, that I hope people can appreciate that the Harris Walz didn't need to be entertaining or combative to be useful.

We are not supposed to *repeat* Trump's talking points. Our literal job as journalists is to see through this and call it for what it is.
