Big fan of Reginald Bray. A Margaret Beaufort loyalist for forty years. He saw some interesting things for sure (makes note to one day write a fiction book starring him).

In the 1484 parliamentary act that passed an act of attainder against Margaret Beaufort, Henry Tudor was regarded as 'the king's great rebel'. Hell of a nickname, that.

It'd be my rapper name.

My favourite historical trivia is that there were two Margaret Beauforts who both had sons called Henry who rebelled against Richard III.

One was the countess of Stafford, mother of Henry Stafford, duke of Buckingham, and the other the countess of Richmond, mother of Henry Tudor

Reading up on treason for tomorrow's The National Archives talk - in November 1461, the first Yorkist parliament roundly attainted the Lancastrians for tyranny including β€˜extortion, murder, rape, effusion of innocent blood, riots and unrighteousness’. Thought Tudors invented Propaganda?
