What a ternaround on the Isle of May, fantastic news! ⤵️

🐮 Cows and conservation don't go together - or do they? Carefully managed low-density grazing can be beneficial for biodiversity. A herd of Highland Cattle are used to help maintain grassland habitats on our Isle of Rum National Nature Reserve.

Reaching over 10,000 hectares of peatland restoration in a single year is a great achievement.
