Very grateful to have been a part of the Tenerife field trip for the past few years. 🌋

I’ve worked with some fantastic people, met some enthusiastic, awesome students and I’ve been able to practise and grow in my teaching

Thank you Tenerife! But now - it’s time to write ✍️

For our last day we took the students to the amazing “Tajao Smile” outcrop. I love this locality so much and it was so much fun discussing PDCs with everyone! 🌋

Yesterday afternoon - our environmental and physical geographers visited the Palmetum in Santa Cruz. This is an old coastal landfill site that has been reformed to show off some beautiful world palms!

This morning we went to ITER and had a tour of the facilities. They do public science - focussing on renewables but also looking into genomics.

They also held a architecture competition in 1995 - we were able to have a tour of these unique houses.

Today our groups completed their independent projects - so here are some photos from yesterday.

Yesterday we explored the volcanism within the caldera before heading out to sea to see the old basaltic series! 🌋
