When having conversations with people, I often wonder if they're fully taking in what Israeli officials say they want to do to Gaza. At some point, we have to believe them.

This is just blatantly false and every affiliated trade union knows it. They are deliberately using vague language and removing references to a whole host of previous commitments.

Extremely galling to have these people sanctimoniously mention Sudan not getting attention because of Gaza when they know very well it wasn’t getting any attention before Gaza either

On #Radio4Today Amol Rajan asked Anneliese Dodds why The Labour Party welcomes someone who venerated Boris Johnson, but not someone who shared a stage with Ken Loach.
For clarity, there was no complaint against me. No appeal process. Nothing. The Labour Party has badly lost its way.

The most repugnant thing about this is that David Lammy knows full well the truth of Mandela's politics, ideology & tactics, just as he knows full well why there are mass protests over Gaza but not Sudan or DRC.

He is actively playing dumb to sidestep his own responsibilities

This, by Anneliese Dodds, is not correct.

Natalie Elphicke was never investigated over her comments about her ex-husband’s victims — including her assertion that the serial sex-offender was punished for being “attractive” to women.

She was sanctioned for the wholly separate…

Of course Anneliese Dodds thinks it's preposterous that Natalie Elphicke, one of the most right-wing Tories, has defected to Labour.

Here is the problem when your party is led by a dishonest man.

The dishonesty is infectious. You all become dishonest as a price of loyalty.

Israel's defenders obsess over student placards and slogans.

All the while, they back a murderous onslaught by the Israeli state as its leaders engage in wanton genocidal rhetoric.

It is a deliberate attempt to turn the world on its head, and deserves nothing but contempt.

I have also been attacked by neonazis because I am queer, and agree with Owen Jones entirely. By making the problem one of individual bad actors (who we make examples of) we ignore the structures which encourage, legitimise, and enable bigotry and hatred throughout our society.

Worth listening to what Owen actually says and then reading the replies to get a sense of how out of touch with reality/ reason the far right are.

The irony is that Biden, after losing the support of everyone who opposed what Israel has been doing, will now lose the support of everyone who loves what Israel is doing. And all the while he facilitated a slaughter of historic proportions. For what?

Highly thought-provoking stuff (as always) from Owen Jones: prison sentences do little to discourage bigoted hate crimes.

Showing that 'foreigners' are NOT responsible for the difficulties people are experiencing (housing, etc) drains the swamp from which this s**t emerges.
