After the two rounds of voting by delegates at World Federation of the Deaf General Assembly (with Norway and Nigeria also in the running), UAE won the right to host the next World Congress. Disappointingly there was also a clarification that LGBT+ topics would not be allowed at the Congress.

Deaf LGBTQIA+ individuals are an integral part of the community. Human rights should be upheld for all. #DeafPride #InclusionMatters
