I have a lot of thoughts about the scheduling of this tennis tournament.

But let’s put all of them aside for a moment and focus on this:

Can someone, anyone, explain the logic of putting America’s biggest current tennis star, Coco Gauff, on in the middle of the night in the US?

Someone needs to explain why the Grigor Dimitrov match was moved to Chatrier to start at 8pm with the Novak Djokovic match to follow? I get wanting to keep next-round opponents on even rest, but you can't start 2 best-of-5's at 8pm and expect a reasonable outcome.

Don’t exactly know how you ensure there aren’t empty seats (maybe by making it the match of the day night session …), but this is a terrible shame when thousands of tennis deprived fans saw nothing.

For those who saw all of Swiatek vs Sabalenka in Madrid and today’s Osaka Vs Swiatek match which one is WTA match of the year? Or write in another match.

Thousands of fans with ground passes haven’t seen a point since noon or so… And they milled around for hours….Maybe a few of them could’ve been accommodated to ensure a full house now?

Wow on that match. Swiatek with another great escape in a second round in back to back majors. Maybe Osaka will have a Collins like run soon. Swiatek did not read the room well by scolding the crowd in her post match interview. Only crowd criticism should have been empty seats!
