Staff at Carrfield Primary had really purposeful training today ; learning to structure and deliver DT sessions using appropriate pedagogical choices, identifying the four stages of the DT process and using and applying technical and specific vocabulary. Primary Knowledge Curriculum

PKC Significant Individuals

This is George Washington Carver - agricultural scientist.

He encouraged farmers to rotate crops as he had noticed that when plants die and break down, they release nutrients, making the soil healthier.

Pupils learn about him in the Y3 Plants unit.
