American-owned and American-operated by American union steelworkers – the best in the world.

Folks, it was almost exactly five years ago right here in Pittsburgh that I told the nation I was running to restore the backbone of America – the middle class.

And the backbone of America has a steel spine.

For working families with small children, my budget guarantees affordable, quality child care.

Most families will pay less than $10 a day per child, saving millions of folks as much as $7,000 a year.

That’s a lot of breathing room for young families who need it most.

In the 12 days following my call with Prime Minister Netanyahu, 3,000 trucks with food and supplies moved into Gaza – a daily increase of over 50% from the week prior.

It’s time that we give our daughters the same opportunities as our sons and ensure women are paid what they deserve.

Under our new proposal, if you owe more now than when you first started paying your student loans, we would cancel up to $20,000 in runaway interest.

And for low- and middle-class families enrolled in my SAVE plan, we would cancel all of your interest.

From child care and elder care to the lack of paid leave, women bear the brunt of our broken care economy.

We saw it during the pandemic when 2 million women left their jobs to help their families.

It hurts our economy, and it keeps women from earning the pay they deserve.

The United States-Iraqi partnership is pivotal for our nations, for the Middle East, and for the world.
