The Committee also noted that almost 40% of Government primary school structures are dilapidated which leaves the lives of the pupils at stake due to the blighted state of the structure where they take classes.

According to the committee report, Ministry of Education and Sports - Uganda is in need of Shs30.2bn for taking over 100 secondary schools and another Shs6.4bn for grant-aiding 100 primary schools. They recommended that this money be availed for the same.
