The City of Clyde Hill (along with the region and nation) has noticed a rise in the theft of catalytic converters from vehicle exhaust systems. Read about symptoms of catalytic converter theft and how you can help prevent this from happening to your vehicles.

Earlier this week Chief Kolling and the Clyde Hill Police Department was awarded state accreditation by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.

The City of Clyde Hill is accepting resumes for lateral, post graduate academy, entry level police officers and out of state candidates who have been previously certified in another state. To apply, please submit a letter of interest & resume to Lt. Hanson at [email protected]

In recognition of the Clyde Hill Police Department receiving WASPC accreditation, our patrol vehicles will now proudly display the banner “State Accredited Agency”.

Our thoughts are with the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office today. Two of their Deputy Sheriff’s were shot while responding to a neighbor dispute involving firearms. Both Deputies were transported and are in stable condition at this time.

A sad day today. As we say goodbye to one fallen deputy, we find out about the loss of another Officer. Our thoughts go out to the Officers family, friends, and the Everett Police Department.

With an already heavy heart, we learn of Edmond Police Officer Steffins death. Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt thoughts go out to Officer Steffins family, friends and to the entire Edmonds Police Department.

1/2 Clyde Hill Police Department has received information about a scam in which callers are posing as Chief Kolling and other Officers/Corporals. These callers are claiming that you are in contempt of court asking for gift cards/money in order to have charges dropped.

2/2 this is a SCAM! CHPD (or any police department) will never call you to ask for money in exchange for charges being dropped. If you receive one of these calls, do not engage with the caller and hang up immediately and call the non-emergency line to report.
