Camden 9 Florence 7 Florence drops a tough one to a very good Camden team and will play Lexington tomorrow at 4:00 with the season on the line. Collin Minshew went 4-5 with 3 runs scored.

Game time tomorrow at 4:00 against the winner of tonight’s Fort Mill-Camden game. If Camden wins, we have to beat them twice. If Fort Mill wins, we get them at 4:00 and the winner faces Camden at 7:00

Florence 3 Fort Mill 2 Florence rallies for 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to advance to the state championship game for 9th time in last 12 years. Brody Cook’s 2 run double walked it off for Post 1. State championship game vs Camden coming up shortly at 7:15

Our field survived Tropical Storm Debby with minor damage. Had significant flooding, including standing 6-8” of standing water across the outfield. Minor wind damage to the shade cover. Everything now is starting to go down as seen in the pics.

I will be joining the cause to begin to bring Legion Baseball and Junior Legion Baseball back in this country. It’s time for teen age athletes to have a strong alternative. Playing the game for community and country ! The time has come to make this happen in parts of the country

Congrats and good luck to former Post 1 player and pitching coach Zach McKay as he announced his candidacy for city council. Zach would be a tremendous asset to the city of Florence.
