Our recent Angewandte Chemie paper made it to the cover! We show that combining microscopy with EELS is key to identifying metals, accurately differentiating atoms from impurities in single-atom catalysts, and with potential to distinguish metals in dual-atom catalysts.

Tomorrow sees the start of a conference in Xian (China) on biomass. The speakers are listed on the poster, and I think we're in for a treat, with some new ideas emerging.

I was at Xi'an Jiaotong University this week for the Int Symposium on Fine Chemicals. Thanks to Prof Zhicheng Zhang, Prof Weiyi Ouyang & Christophe Len for the invitation, warm hospitality, and lab visits. It was an honor to present our work on single-atom catalysis for light-driven processes.
