This is how rogue employers are treating migrant care workers. It is a national disgrace. All nursing staff deserve safe, secure, fair paid employment. Share and sign our letter to party leaders: bit.ly/4c4VNni

To be clear Prime Minister, we have not reached an NHS pay settlement for nursing - our members rejected the government's offer and remain in dispute. We expect whoever forms the next government to start direct negotiations on nursing pay during the summer. #ITVdebate #GE2024

Health and care services are crying out for more nurses but students are struggling to find jobs when they graduate. Slowing down recruitment to meet arbitrary government budget targets is not how you deliver for patients. Students must have a job guarantee on graduation.

The Conservative manifesto reheated old recruitment targets and offered nothing on pay or higher education. All the while doubling down on anti-trade union legislation which silence NHS staff. Our full response: bit.ly/3Xkdyuy

The manifesto from The Green Party has promising commitments, including pledges to abolish tuition fees, restore grants and repeal anti-trade union laws On pay, it looks to fall short of what staff need. Our full response: bit.ly/45D8kMN

The The Labour Party manifesto makes strong commitments to repeal anti-trade union legislation and improve workers' rights. But when it comes to investment in our services and profession, it doesn't go nearly far enough. Our full response: bit.ly/4ehO2fr

A new NHS Providers report shows how hard nursing staff are working to deliver care. But the next govt cannot ask our profession to deliver more with less. We need a fair pay offer this summer & measures to boost recruitment & retention. Our response: bit.ly/3Ryhapd

Underfunding in the NHS creates unsafe conditions, and puts patients at risk. It's time for all parties to be honest about the scale of the challenge and pledge to deliver the resources our health service needs. Patients must come before arbitrary financial targets.

Last night's Channel 4 Dispatches must mark a turning point for our NHS. Patients are suffering & nursing staff are overwhelmed in a system starved of the support it needs. Politicians need to wake up. Vague promises & low investment will not turn our treasured health service around.

This is a vital victory for migrant care workers. Rogue employers need to understand they are not above the law. However, this is not the end of the matter. The next government must take urgent action to ensure labour standards are upheld. ➡️ bit.ly/3VoV0bb

The next generation of nurses are considering walking away before they graduate - this is a tragedy. The new Prime Minister must act urgently to turn around a failing NHS workforce plan. We need government-funded degrees and proper maintenance support.

In his first speech outside Downing Street, Sir Keir Starmer acknowledged the insecurity felt by nursing staff - our profession was the top of his list. Nursing has the solutions and must be heard at the heart of the new government. Our response: bit.ly/3W8DisW

NHS staff haven't given up, but they are exhausted and need the Secretary of State to help. We need fair pay for all and investment in our profession. We can't keep asking dedicated health workers to do more with less.

Tens of thousands of unfilled nursing jobs keeps people waiting for treatment and out of work. The government’s ambitious growth mission must come with an equally ambitious plan to increase nurse numbers. The first step to that is fair pay. 🔗bit.ly/3WgwTfl

Hospitals are discharging patients to ease pressures, but social care doesn’t have the capacity to accept the numbers. This amounts to pushing people around different, under-resourced care settings. It doesn't work. Social care needs serious and sustained investment.

Our analysis, shared with Channel 4 News, shows cases of exploitation in the care sector are skyrocketing. This is a national scandal which requires urgent investigation by government. We will always stand by our migrant health and care workers. Watch ⬇️

Visa rules preventing migrant nursing staff accessing vital benefits, such as Universal Credit, must be scrapped. Financial difficulties are forcing almost two thirds of migrant nursing staff to consider leaving the UK. Find out more in our report ➡️ bit.ly/4fY3iir

Nursing staff will recognise many of Lord Darzi’s conclusions. Caring for patients in corridors & armchairs is not the standard of care they want. Only dedicated investment in nursing and a boost to recruitment can ensure we meet staff and patient needs. bit.ly/3ZlhT1p
