Happy International Day of the Midwife! Glasgow was the 1st place in the UK to examine & license women to practice midwifery. Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow set up the midwifery exam in 1740. These minutes show the 1st to qualify - Helen Baxter, Elizabeth Boyd, Mary Dinning & Jean Scott #IDM2024
