Here is the opening of a prophecy by Rebecca Travers 1609-1688 Quaker preacher, author and prophet who lived through the civil war:
Things to come are here declared,
but blind men cannot see:
But as the world draws to an end,
some shall remember me.

On World Book Day a page from our 1493 Nuremberg Chronicle. This marvellous book tells the history of the world from time's beginning to the late 1400s, one of the earliest to integrate pictures with text, with over 1000 illustrations including terrifying & wonderful creatures!

I am enjoying my time at Spurgeon Library with my dear friend Dr. Geoff Chang. Dr. Chang is doing a fantastic job as curator of this fantastic library, the center of the Spurgeon universe for research.

A really good conversation and engagement in the first of Centre for Baptist Studies, Oxford 'Revisiting Whitley Lectures' series. We found Nigel Wright's Power and Discipleship to still be a helpful offering into thinking through issues of church and state. Recording will be available soon.
