PHE has been operating for the past 7 years to provide a huge range of functions. Health protection is of course a key part (it employs 2,500 scientists and manages >10,000 disease outbreaks/yr)

Today, Boris Johnson has said that taxes on unhealthy foods should be reviewed citing a lack of evidence. The only such UK tax is the soft drinks industry levy, or , so please let me take you through that 'lack of evidence'.
